The Jabuticaba is a fruit bearing tree indigenous to parts of Brazil. The large purplish-black, grape-like fruit grows directly from the branches and from the trunk. The fruit is astringent and has a creamy grape-like flavor with undertones of bubble gum. In Brazil the fruit is used in a wide range of applications including alcoholic beverages. Our Jabuticaba Type Flavor, Natural & Artificial (Contains <0.10% Artificial Top Note) was developed for use in beer. We recommend a starting use level of 0.20% and adjust to desired impact and taste is achieved. This TTB approved flavor does not require an artificial flavor ingredient declaration when used in alcoholic beverages.
