Pure Black Pepper Extract, Natural can be used in a wide range of food applications including baked goods to impact the flavor of black pepper. This extract does not impart pungency as the pungent compound in black pepper are non-volatile and not found in the essential oil from which this extract is made. We recommend using one teaspoon in your typical cake or cookie recipe, or 0.50% by weight in baking dry mix.
