Ube Type Extract, Natural & Artificial
Ube (or ubi) is the Filipino word for purple yam (Dioscorea alata). It is cooked with sugar and eaten as a sweetened dessert or jam called ube halaya, which has a bright violet color. Ube is also an ingredient in halo, a popular fruity dessert.
Ube Type Extract, Natural & Artificial can be used in a variety of desserts including cakes and cookies. It has a nutty flavor with a coconut-like background note. One teaspoon is sufficient for your typical cake or cookie recipe.
Our Ube Type Extract, Natural & Artificial does not contain any added purple food coloring. It can be used in conjunction with natural or synthetic water based colors if a deep purple color is desired.
Ube Type Extract, Natural & Artificial contains propylene glycol, water and natural and artificial flavor. This extract is gluten and sugar-free.
