Pure Black Pepper Extract, Natural can be used in a wide range of alcoholic beverage applications. This extract will impart the flavor of black pepper without pungency or what is sometimes refereed to as heat. The pungent compounds in black pepper are non-volatile and, therefore, not found in the black pepper essential oil from which this extract is made. We recommend a starting use level of 0.10% to 0.30% in most applications and adjust to desired impact is achieved. In high proof spirits start at 0.75%. This extract is TTB approved.
