Pure Clary Sage Extract, Natural
Pure Clary Sage Extract, Natural can be used in vermouth, fortified wines, liqueurs and other alcoholic beverages. Historically, the herb was used as an adulterant, and added to wine to make it resemble Muscatel and as a substitute for hops in beer brewing. The extract has a sweet, herbal, floral and slightly spicy flavor with hay and green tea-like notes. In beer, cider and wine, we recommend a starting use level of 0.20% and adjust to desired impact is achieved. This extract is TTB approved.
